Interior Lifestyle Tokyo Kicks Off with Record Exhibitor Numbers

Following the recent conclusion of the May Designs Series in London, the next trade fair highlight for all fans of stylish interior design is now on the agenda. The Interior Lifestyle Tokyo has just opened in the Japanese capital, Tokyo.

819 Exhibitors from 27 Nations

A total of 819 exhibitors from 27 countries are taking part in the three-day Interior Lifestyle Tokyo. This means that the 24th edition of the fair features more exhibitors than ever before. 607 of the exhibitors alone come from the Land of the Rising Sun, while the remaining 212 exhibitors are spread across the other 26 countries. All participants in this interior design fair in the Japanese metropolis have one thing in common: they are presenting their innovations and trends. In addition, seminars and discussion panels are on the programme for the 24th Interior Lifestyle Tokyo.

Numerous Special Highlights at Interior Lifestyle Tokyo 2014

The fair in Tokyo features a number of interesting highlights. For example, the exhibition „Welcome to my home!“ in the Atrium. This addresses a real contrast in Japan, where house parties are generally particularly popular. Interior Lifestyle Tokyo 2014 aims to focus on different types of „Getting Together“. The design studios Jamo Associates and their stylist Yuki Nakabayashi have taken the lead here, transforming the Atrium into a huge house teeming with ideas designed to encourage people to communicate. In the „Japan Style“ area, on the other hand, Japanese products are the focus, mixing modern lifestyle with traditional Japanese craftsmanship. Also taking part is the style office „bora.herke.palmisano“ from Frankfurt. The German company is presenting a trend show featuring the latest trends in consumer goods.

Interior Lifestyle Awards Presented in Tokyo

During Interior Lifestyle Tokyo 2014, the winners of the Interior Lifestyle Awards will also be announced. This year, the awards are presented in the categories „Space Design”, „Design Business”, „Media”, „Best Buy” and „Young Designer”.
