Designer Sofa Beds for Guests: 3 New Livitalia Models & Their Benefits

When integrating functional furniture into modern living spaces, visual lightness often comes first. The Designer Sofa Bed Pragaverro masters this design challenge with its particularly organic design language. It breaks up the often prevailing strictness of architectural spaces and adds a soft, very homely touch to the interior.

A striking design feature are the wide, softly rounded upholstered arms. This special silhouette takes away the visual heaviness of the furniture piece and makes it look excellent even when standing freely in the room. It invites you to linger without dominating the surrounding space with an overly bulky presence.

Regarding space planning, the model offers clever options. With a selectable width of 168 or 188 cm, the Pragaverro harmoniously fits into various room sizes. This allows for a balanced equilibrium between generous seating area and necessary free space for walkways, which noticeably calms the overall atmosphere of the room.

Livarea Expert Tip:Feel free to position furniture with rounded armrests slightly diagonally or freely in the room. The flowing lines appear harmonious from every angle and prevent the room from looking rigid or purely functional.

Furniture Tip for Soft Contrasts: With the Livitalia Sofa Bed Pragaverro, you bring a flowing, relaxed design language into your living room or guest room that elegantly loosens modern strictness.

In many modern living concepts, a single room must fulfill several functions. Often, it's the home office that needs to serve as accommodation for overnight guests when required. For precisely such hybrid zones, sofa beds are predestined, combining minimalism with maximum usability. The Tokino model embodies this approach.

In contrast to expansive living landscapes, the Tokino relies on a highly reduced, rectilinear architecture. The particularly narrow armrests of only 6 cm ensure that no valuable centimeter is wasted. The entire width of the furniture thus benefits almost exclusively the pure seating and lying surface.

This puristic construction makes it a true space-saver. With an extremely compact total width of 172 or 192 cm, it easily finds its place between a desk and a filing cabinet. The straight lines seamlessly integrate into a tidy office ambiance without appearing like a foreign object.

How to succeed in three steps:

1. Precisely measure the area next to or opposite the desk and factor in the space needed for unfolding.
2. Choose calm, muted upholstery colors for the home office to avoid disturbing concentration during daily work.
3. Use a soft, textured rug under the furniture piece to create a visual separation between the work and rest zones.

Furniture Tip for Smart Home Offices: The space-saving Livitalia Sofa Bed Tokino fits perfectly into your home office thanks to its narrow armrests, without overcrowding the room.

A practical sofa bed is the ideal solution for households that do not have a dedicated guest room but still want a comfortable overnight stay option. When guests are expected, no additional guest bed needs to be set up, as the sofa fully takes over this function.

The transformation from seating furniture to a bed is very straightforward thanks to a well-thought-out design. The sofa can be opened into a complete sleeping area with just a few simple steps. A sturdy metal bed frame, on which the mattress lies, is simply pulled forward. A key feature of this construction is that the fixed backrest and the two armrests of the sofa remain exactly in place. This gives the unfolded bed a clear frame and ensures that the original shape of the furniture is visually maintained in the room.

The mattress matching the frame is already included in the price. With a selectable sleeping width of 145 or 165 cm, the lying surface offers ample space. This ensures guests always sleep comfortably, even if they are staying as a couple. Furniture Tip for Spontaneous Guests: Transform your study into a full-fledged sleeping area with the Livitalia Sofa Bed Pragaverro (unfolded).

For decades, the biggest design and functional hurdle with combination furniture was the dreaded firmness compromise. A normal upholstered furniture piece uses the seating surface simultaneously as a lying surface. The result: The upholstery is often too firm for a restful sleep, but already too soft for ergonomic, long-term sitting. A high-quality sofa bed with a mattress resolves precisely this structural flaw.

The Tokino model ends this compromise through intelligent architecture. It offers a strictly separate seating and lying surface. When you sit on it during the day, you feel the supportive structure made of high-quality foam and pocket springs. This core ensures an upright, comfortable posture when reading or watching TV.

When the furniture piece is unfolded at night, guests lie exclusively on a separate, full-fledged mattress specifically designed for sleeping. This consistent functional separation makes the models even suitable for permanent sleepers – ideal if relatives stay for the entire Christmas holidays or longer than a week.

Livarea Expert Tip:Make sure to let the unfolded bed air out uncovered for about 20 minutes after sleeping. For separate mattresses, this ensures an ideal microclimate and preserves the longevity of the materials.

Furniture Tip for Lasting Comfort: Offer your guests true sleeping pleasure on a real mattress with the Livitalia Sofa Bed Tokino (unfolded), completely independent of the seat cushion.

Beyond pure design, the textile fabric is largely responsible for the atmosphere a piece of furniture exudes in a room. The first contact often occurs through touch. For the new Livitalia models, the choice fell on an upholstery fabric from Italy. The fabric is named 'Brasil' and combines a pleasant, organic texture with solid technical properties for the living area.

Color design is an important architectural tool in space planning. The Brasil cover is available in calming, timeless tones such as a soft light grey, a deep anthracite, and a darker beige. These easily combinable nuances reduce harsh light and give the living room or guest room a clear appearance that integrates well into existing color concepts.

In everyday life, however, a fabric must be able to do more than just look good. The Brasil cover scores here with a high Martindale value for good abrasion resistance and an equally high pilling value. In practice, this means: The fabric has little tendency to pill and reliably withstands everyday friction from clothing.

Color Design for Your Sofa Bed:

• Match the fabric color directly to your existing textiles such as curtains or carpets to create visual calm in the room.
• Combine the deep anthracite with deliberately light cushions to give the seating area more depth and structure.
• Use the soft light grey in combination with warm earth tones to create a minimalist and Scandinavian-inspired coziness.

Furniture Tip for Easy-Care Elegance: Give your room a wonderfully soft feel with the Livitalia Sofa Bed Pragaverro (Brasil Fabric), which impresses with convincing material quality even with intensive daily use.

Choosing the perfect dimensions determines whether a piece of furniture enhances a room or overwhelms it. Especially in urban living situations, every square meter counts. Depending on the chosen external width, the new models offer a generous sleeping width of 145 or 165 cm. The latter is particularly recommended if two adults are regularly to sleep comfortably side by side.

Despite the expansive lying surface, the furniture remains surprisingly compact when closed. All models have a uniform total depth of 96 cm and a height of 92 cm. With a comfortable seat height of 45 cm, they make getting up easier.

These well-thought-out dimensions make them true all-rounders. Whether as a clever room divider in a modern one-room apartment, an upgrade for a high-quality student apartment, or as a multifunctional centerpiece in a focused home office – they adapt to the architecture, not the other way around.

Livarea Expert Tip:Before purchasing, mark the dimensions of the sofa (including the unfolded lying length) with simple painter's tape on the floor. This gives you an immediate, real sense of space and shows exactly how much freedom of movement remains.

Furniture Tip for Perfect Proportions: Make optimal use of your limited living space by achieving maximum sleeping area with a smart footprint using the Livitalia Sofa Bed Dubleno (unfolded).
