Dieser Post ist von 02. Feb 2015 by Livarea.
The Highlight of IMM Cologne 2015
This year thrilled us! The turnout was enormous. More than 146,000 visitors from 138 countries visited the Cologne exhibition halls. Among them were trade visitors from all over the world. With over 46,000 visitors from abroad, IMM presented itself this year as internationally as never before.
Of course, we were on site for you and took a close look at the best trends and highlights! Our focus was on box spring beds. Here's the conclusion –>
This year's fair was truly exciting. We visited many manufacturers and thoroughly tested the latest furniture trends live on site.
„Sleeping on clouds“
This year's highlights are box spring beds, as they are absolutely on trend. With a box spring bed, the focus is on the substructure, i.e., the lower mattress, which is also called an upholstered bed or box spring. Unlike a normal bed, this lower mattress takes on the function of the slatted frame.
The so-called upper mattress rests on the lower mattress, i.e., the box spring. As a rule, both mattresses have a pocket spring core. By layering these two mattresses, the bed merges into an absolute unit. This double suspension offers an optimal lying sensation, as the bed adapts completely to the body resting on it.

The uppermost layer of a box spring bed is the so-called topper. It is the comfort layer and simply makes the sleeping experience perfect. One can choose between latex, cold foam, or visco foam as standard. However, natural materials such as virgin wool, horsehair, or goose feathers are also possible upon request. Furthermore, the upper mattress provides excellent protection against perspiration. This automatically extends its lifespan. The following image shows the construction of the mattress, with its modern pocket spring system, which is specially manufactured by a 3D printer.

Box spring beds are not only hygienically advantageous, but they also impress primarily with their lying sensation. They are particularly recommended for older people, as the layering of the mattresses allows for easier entry and exit. Thus, the comfort is simply higher. But it is also simply optimal for people who sweat more or are overweight.
Our conclusion after the lying test:
„You feel like you're sleeping on clouds“
