The Latest Trends from the Milan Furniture Fair 2017
It's finally that time again; the most important event in the furniture and interior design industry is taking place for the 56. time in Milan, the Salone Internazionale del Mobile furniture fair 2017.
The latest furniture design trends, innovations, and high-tech products can be admired across an area of well over 200.000 qm with approx. 2.000 exhibitors. In addition to the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, there are other exhibition areas such as the Salone Internazionale del Complemento d‘Arredo, where approx. 200 exhibitors present everything related to decoration and home accessories across well over 10.000 qm. Another delightful theme is the latest lighting trends, known as Euroluce, with 450 exhibitors across over 38.000 qm. Furniture Fair 2017: it's the mix that makes it
There are once again some highlights from the Milan Furniture Fair. Fantastically modern lights illuminate the latest trends, sometimes with an enchanting effect. The velvet and leather of the upholstered furniture, as well as shimmering marble, granite, and glass surfaces, invite you to linger.
Influences of the Baroque style are partly represented, with the majority ranging from Scandinavian chic to puristic minimalism, accompanied by subtle to vibrant colours. Time and again, the avant-garde of Classical Modernism cleverly blends with modern chic, incorporating colours and forms from the Bauhaus era. It is an ingenious mix of past and new styles.
