Living Room Planner: Visualize Your Wall Unit Before You Buy

It all starts with a normal photo: your living room wall, as it looks today. The planner inserts the chosen wall unit into this image. This way, you can see how the size, shape, and color interact with your floor, your windows, and your sofa.

You don't need to tidy up beforehand. Your old TV unit can stay; the planner replaces it in the image with the new model. The photo above shows the starting point: a bright wall with an old television on a small shelf. All other images in this post show the same room, each with a different piece of furniture from the planner.

The planner provides a realistic preview. It does not replace a measurement, but it helps with the most important question before buying: Which size and shape looks best on your wall?

The process is deliberately simple and works on a mobile phone just as it does on a computer:

1. Photograph your wall: Take a photo of the wall where the wall unit should be placed.
2. Enter wall width and mark the floor: This tells the planner how wide your wall is and where the floor begins.
3. Choose furniture: Select a wall unit or a TV unit.
4. Tap „Visualize“: Shortly after, you will see the furniture in your room.
5. To the product page: If you like the result, one click takes you to the product in the shop.

In the image, you see the Livitalia Lowboard C101: wall-mounted, with dark grey, handleless fronts, a top panel in a light wood tone, and two open compartments for devices.

There are 49 models to choose from in the planner: 35 wall units and 14 TV units. The range extends from large compositions that take up almost the entire wall to slim solutions that only support the television. Because you enter the width of your wall, you can see how much space a model occupies and how much wall remains free.

The Livitalia Wall Unit C100 shows the large variant: a floor-standing, handleless lowboard in matte dark grey, with wall-mounted panels and three illuminated glass shelves above it. On a wide wall, such a wall unit acts as a calm frame for the television. On a narrow wall, however, it can quickly become too much. The planner makes precisely this difference visible in your own photo.

Some models change the room more significantly than one might expect from the product photo. The Livitalia Wall Unit C108 combines a wide, wall-mounted lowboard with an integrated fireplace insert, a large TV panel, and two short wall boards. Indirect lighting under the lowboard and behind the panel makes the wall glow in the evening.

Especially with such furniture, it's worth looking at your own living room: how the dark panel appears against your wall color and how much space remains to the left and right. In the planner, you can try this out in a few seconds and compare it directly with a lighter or narrower model.

Those who want more storage space without the wall appearing heavy often plan with wall cabinets. The Livitalia Wall Unit C105 combines a wide, wall-mounted lowboard with three narrow, vertical wall cabinets. The fronts are handleless and matte, and indirect lighting is located under the lowboard.

Because the lowboard is not floor-standing, the floor beneath it remains visible, and the room appears airier. In the planner, you can see how high the wall cabinets appear on your wall and whether there is enough clearance next to windows or doors.

Not every wall needs a large living room wall unit. For narrow walls or small living rooms, a wall board is often the calmer solution. The Livitalia TV Wall Board is a slim, handleless shelf with a back panel in a dark oak wood look. The board is available in various widths as well as in matte or glossy color and wood finishes.

A good photo makes the preview significantly better. These points help:

• Hold your phone straight.
• Take two steps back so that the entire wall is in the picture.
• Photograph frontally, i.e., directly from the front.
• Use the flash.
• Make sure there are no people in the photo.

What happens to your photo: Without registration, your photo will not be saved. It is transmitted encrypted to our server and to Google Gemini, which creates the preview. Google does not use your photo for training. If you wish, you can log in with Google or Apple and then continue planning on any device. In this case, the photo will be stored for a maximum of twelve months on a server in Germany.
