IMM 2017: What We're Seeking & Your Essential Visitor Tips
Dieser Post ist von 05. Jan 2017 by Livarea.
This January, the IMM is once again taking place in Cologne. Livarea will be visiting the furniture fair for you to see what our manufacturers have in store. We'll reveal what our visit to the fair will look like in this trend blog post:
From 16 to 22 January, Germany's largest furniture fair will take place in the exhibition halls of Cologne. Daily from 9 am to 6 pm, visitors can admire the latest trends from the world of furniture across 8 halls, spanning over 230,000 m². Companies from over 50 countries will then present not only their furniture, but everything related to it, such as textiles, electronics, sleep systems, and design trends.

IMM 2017 – Our Goals
Livarea visits the fair every year to inspect our manufacturers' new products and to look out for new furniture not yet offered online. Our goal is not to flood the online furniture market with existing furniture, but to expand it with unique and exclusive pieces. We place great emphasis on quality and a minimalist aesthetic, which should be particularly compatible with the online market.

As annual visitors to the IMM in Cologne, Livarea is familiar with many fair trends that are merely repackaged, but not actual novelties. Such stands are naturally not as interesting for us. For this reason, we first visit our manufacturers and seek discussions with experts to be shown the latest trends.

After the long-lasting trend of high-gloss lacquers, wood and natural matte colours are now back. Concrete and trowelled finishes have also arrived in the living area, not on the walls, but on the surfaces of furniture. We will inspect how this looks live and, as last year, post about it on our social networks. So, if you can't visit the fair, feel free to follow us to get an impression of the event.

For all those who do not live in Cologne and have to travel from afar, we recommend travelling by public transport. From the airport, you can easily take the train directly to the exhibition grounds and avoid long traffic jams by car.
For new visitors to the furniture fair, the first visit is particularly exciting and certainly exhausting. For anyone who has never been to such a large trade fair, we recommend planning at least 2 days to discover at least some of the fair's highlights.

On the way to the halls, you will not only be held up by large crowds, but you'll also be constantly amazed and make many great discoveries. Therefore, it is advisable to study the exhibition plan a little beforehand and to walk through the halls purposefully. This way you avoid halls that are not really interesting and cost valuable time.
For all those who couldn't make it to the fair, we will report on all our highlights in a trend blog post after the fair.
Kind regards
Your Livarea Team
